Description
This well-maintained palace was built in the mid-1600s and kept its original state through the years. It belonged to several noble Umbrian families and has always been looked after and restored by the most skilled hands of the various eras. The current owners have taken this heritage and transformed the palace into a contemporary residence. Despite its history and impressive living space, the palace offers a comfortable and homey environment.
The property comprises a main building, a former farmhouse, which has been turned into an impressive museum where you can admire the original feature of the rooms and the individual crafts, and a spacious garage. The palace is surrounded by a private park, an adjacent fenced garden/orchard, which can be used as a parking space, and approximately three hectares of land with woods.
The palace's main entrance can be reached through the park and has a large entrance hall with a water cistern below leading to a former garrison room characterised by impressive cross vaults and special acoustics. You can also reach the basement rooms and the former servants' quarters from the entrance hall. These rooms could be ideally transformed into a wellness center with an indoor pool.
A Bernini-style staircase leads to the upper floors. The first floor features a spacious reception room with a stone fireplace, silk-lined walls, and a frescoed vaulted ceiling. There are also several lounges, a dining room with a vaulted ceiling, a fireplace and access to the large terrace, a breakfast room, a kitchen, a library with a coffered ceiling and fireplace, and two bedroom suites with dressing rooms on this level. This floor is characterised by sophistication and elegance in every detail, from the coffered ceilings, the marble and terracotta floors, the silk wallpaper, and precious frescoes by the famous artist Andrea Galeotti from 1853.
On the second floor are four bedrooms, some with fireplaces and bathrooms, and all enjoy the same elegance and style as the rest of the palace.
There is the possibility of a swimming pool to be built in the park and the former greenhouses can be converted into a pool house if needed. The palace can be used as a private residence or a hotel/restaurant/SPA.
